Welcome

My fascination of sea creatures started when I was 9 years old when I was on vacation with my grandparents in Cape Cod, Massachusetts. They bought me my first mask and snorkel and lying there in the shallows I was amazed by the fish I saw. Inspired and fascinated by Jacques Cousteau and Mike Nelson I started scuba diving at age 13. In 1994 I bought my first real underwater camera, a Nikonos V, to take pictures of fish and creatures I see to identify them. There are new behaviors and new creatures I see keeping me enthralled underwater.  I photograph to share the beauty I see in the underwater world. It is really so magnificent underwater it is difficult to describe and so I hope “a picture is worth a thousand words”.
